Clients bring us business problems that AI can solve if it’s built well, and can’t if it isn’t. Senior AI Software Developers are the people who make sure it’s built well.

You’ll be a hands-on engineer on a client team, working as a single unit with architects, analysts, designers, and testers. You’ll build the hard parts of the system yourself. You’ll also mentor the developers around you, reviewing their code, sharing your judgment, and helping them grow into engineers who can take on what you do.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship production AI systems (LLM integrations, agentic workflows, and automation) that hold up under real users and real data.
  • Mentor developers on the team through code review, pairing, and honest feedback, so every engagement leaves the team stronger than it found it.
  • Challenge unclear requirements and designs while they're still cheap to fix, before the code exists.
  • Set the standard for how we judge AI quality by defining what "working" means, measuring it, and acting when it slips.

What you bring

  • 5+ years building professional software, including production experience with AI or LLM-based systems.
  • A track record of mentoring. You've helped less experienced engineers get measurably better, and you enjoy it.
  • Strong judgment about what to build, what to buy, and what to leave alone, and the ability to explain the tradeoff to a non-technical person.
  • Comfort working on-site in St. Louis as part of a single team that spans discovery, engineering, and quality.
